Let the elders that rule well be counted
worthy of double honour, especially
they who labour in the word and doctrine. Dear
soul, whoever you are; notice in the comparisons of the King James
Authorized Version, to the NKJV. Dear soul, we
need every word of God. (Matt.4:4) (Luke 4:4) (Deut. 8:3) For
precept must
be upon precept, precept upon precept; line
upon line, line upon line; here
a little, and
there a little: (KJV)>

1 The LORD shewed me,
and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD,
after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive
Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah,
with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to
Babylon. Joel

6 For a nation
is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose
teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth

His teeth are the teeth of a lion, And he has the fangs of a fierce lion. Joel

1 For, behold, in those
days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the
captivity of Judah
and Jerusalem,
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into
the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my
people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have
scattered among the nations, and parted my
land. (NKJV)
1. For behold, in those
days and at that time, When I bring back the captives
of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will
also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
And I will enter into judgment with them there
On account of My people, My heritage Israel,

land. (KJV)>

14 Therefore the Lord
himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall
conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. 15 Butter and
honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the
good. 16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose
the good, the
land that thou abhorrest shall be
forsaken of both her
kings. (NKJV)
14 Therefore the Lord
Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a
Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. 15 Curds and honey He shall eat,
that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. 16 For before the
Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land
that you dread will be forsaken by both her
kings. (KJV)>

8 Therefore thus saith
the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words,
9 Behold, I will send and take all the families of the

2 Son of man, put forth
a riddle, and speak a parable unto the
house of Israel; 3 And say,
Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged,
full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto
Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar: 4 He cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried it
into a land of traffick; he set it in a city of merchants. 5 He took also
of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it
by great waters, and set it as a willow tree.
4 He cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried it into a
land of traffick; he set it in a city of merchants. 5 He took also of the
seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by
great waters, and set it as a willow tree. 6 And it
grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned
toward him, and the roots thereof were under him: so it became a vine, and
brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs. 7 There was also another
great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine
did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him,
that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation. 8 It was planted
in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and
that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine. 9 Say thou, Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots
thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in
all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to
pluck it up by the roots thereof. 10 Yea, behold, being planted, shall it
prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it
shall wither in the furrows where it grew. 11 Moreover the word of the
LORD came unto me, saying, 12 Say now to the rebellious house, Know
ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the
king of Babylon is come to Jerusalem, and hath taken the king thereof,
and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon; (KJV)>
12 For the
day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every
one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one
that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: 13 And upon all the
cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and
upon all the
oaks of Bashan,
14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills
that are lifted up, (NKJV)
12 For the
day of the LORD of hosts Shall come upon everything
proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted
up--And it shall be brought low-- 13 Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that
are high and lifted up, And upon all the oaks of Bashan; (KJV)>
8 The trees
went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the
olive tree, Reign thou over us. Psalms
137:1-3
(KJV)>
1
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we
wept, when we remembered Zion. 2 We hanged our harps upon the
willows in the midst thereof. 3 For there they that
carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that
wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
4 How shall we sing the LORD's song in a strange land?
