Scriptures
To Salvation
Rom 10:6-17 6 But the
righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine
heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from
above:) 7 Or, Who
shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the
dead.) 8 But what
saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that
is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if
thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with
the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation. 11 For the
scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there
is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all
is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then
shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they
believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear
without a preacher? 15 And how
shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful
are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad
tidings of good things! 16 But they
have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed
our report? 17 So
then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Acts 8:25-39 25 And they,
when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to
Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans. 26 And the
angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the
south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is
desert. 27 And he
arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great
authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all
her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, 28 Was
returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. 29 Then the
Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. 30 And
Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and
said, Understandest thou what thou readest? 31
And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me?
And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. 32 The place
of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the
slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his
mouth: 33 In his
humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his
generation? for his life is taken from the earth. 34 And the
eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the
prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? 35 Then
Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached
unto him Jesus. 36 And as
they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch
said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And
Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he
answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he
commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the
water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. 39 And when
they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away
Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. Acts 19:1-6 1 And it
came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed
through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2 He said
unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they
said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy
Ghost. 3 And he
said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto
John's baptism. 4 Then said
Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the
people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that
is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they
heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when
Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they
spake with tongues, and prophesied. Acts 5:32 32 And we
are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God
hath given to them that obey him. Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 2 Cor
7:10-11 10 For godly
sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the
sorrow of the world worketh death. 11 For
behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what
carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what
indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal,
yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear
in this matter. Luke 13:3 I tell you,
Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto
thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Prov 28:13 He that
covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh
them shall have mercy. KING JAMES - A/V
